Ups and Downs

I've only participated in two jams so far, excluding Game Off. And to say that this wasn't anything new would be straight up lying. I did have a good time making this game and seeing this amount of progress is just.. nice. My past game's aren't anything flashy and god knows how many times i'll say this in the future too, but this game is my best by far. I experimented with new things.. lol that sounds weird. Anyway, this is supposed to be a serious devlog,.. god damn it! The start was a challenge, like always i went through 5 projects and five days in i had nothing. Then i decided to take the theme literally and this is the result. I tried the metaphorical meaning but didn't work out. Honestly, i think i was overthinking a bit, but i digress. My main problems were art and music. The UI in my past games were.. *cough* *cough* The art turned out well, I tried making fully animated characters, but then I decided to go the simple route and came up with the idea of cubes.. what? Cubes are cool, aren't they? Anyway, the music  was pretty challenging. I have about seven tracks made for this game and the process of making all that music took me 4 days, i tried not to repeat the same song with different instruments and i tried a new style, i'd say it's ok. But all of that aside i had the best time of my life and i'm thankful to github. Thanks for reading i guess lol.
